Join the Butterfly Hospice for their annual Butterfly Release, a renowned and cherished event where the community comes together to honour loved ones, celebrate life and look to the future with hope as they each release butterflies into the Hospice gardens.

Set in the tranquil hospice grounds, the afternoon includes tea, cake, music and poetry before the butterflies are released, each a symbol of a loved one or a wish sent out into the world. During the ‘Names of Remembrance’ section of the event we will read aloud the names of those are being remembered, creating a shared moment of connection.
