Asda Boston will be hosting its annual food drive, working in partnership with the Parish of Boston which forms part of the national Trussell network, one of the UK’s leading charities dedicated to tackling poverty and hunger.

Customers will be encouraged to donate food and essential toiletries to support local people during the summer months. Volunteers from Boston Foodbank will be in store on both days to speak with shoppers about their work and to collect donations. 

The food drive aims to boost donations at a time when demand for emergency food remains high, but contributions often fall, particularly during school holidays.  Throughout the weekend, shoppers who are able to will be invited to add an extra item or two to their baskets when doing their regular shop.

Donations of long life foods and everyday toiletries can make a significant difference to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship in the community.
